CMM Programmer with Quality Responsibility (m/f/d)

PolyTALENT supports a rapidly growing partner in Hamburg in filling this responsible position as Quality & Metrology Lead / Metrology Quality Engineer (m/f/d).

You will be responsible for complete metrology and quality assurance at the Hamburg site – from CMM programming and initial sample inspection to the analysis of deviations and audit preparation.

You will build the QA structures from scratch, define inspection and measurement strategies, and ensure that quality data flows directly back into production. A hands-on role with a high degree of personal responsibility: you program, measure, evaluate, and release parts yourself.

Tasks

• Programming, optimization, and maintenance of CMM/Coordinate Measuring Machine inspection programs, e.g., in PC-DMIS or Zeiss Calypso

• Execution of first article inspections, incoming goods, in-process, and final inspections

• Evaluation of complex parts according to technical drawings, GD&T, and ISO-GPS

• Definition of measurement strategies, datum systems, clamping concepts, and inspection procedures

• Analysis of measurement data and derivation of measures for dimensional, form, and positional deviations

• Release of parts and direct feedback to production, machining, and CAM

• Monitoring, calibration, and management of measuring instruments and test equipment

• Creation and maintenance of inspection plans, FAI documentation, and quality records

• Participation in EN 9100 / ISO 9001-compliant processes and audit preparations

• Further development of internal quality assurance, including digital utilization of measurement and quality data

Profile

• Several years of experience in CMM/Coordinate Measuring Machine programming, 3D metrology, or industrial quality assurance

• Suitable background as a Metrology Technician (m/f/d), Quality Engineer (m/f/d), Quality Inspector (m/f/d), or in a comparable role

• Proficient in PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or comparable CMM software

• Experience in precision manufacturing, CNC machining, fine mechanics, or similar production environments

• Very good knowledge of reading technical drawings, GD&T, form and positional tolerances, and ISO GPS

• Routine in measuring tight tolerances, including in the range of ±0.01 mm and below

• Experience with gantry CMMs, hand measuring tools, gauges, and other inspection methods

• Knowledge of FAI, EN 9102, AS9102, SPC, or process capability analyses is a plus

• Structured, analytical way of working with a focus on root cause analysis and process improvement

• Good English skills for collaboration in an international environment
