About the company

For an internationally active technology company in the field of high-precision industrial manufacturing, we are looking for an experienced professional for coordinate metrology. The environment is characterized by complex components, high quality requirements, and modern manufacturing technology.

In this role, you will combine metrology, manufacturing, and quality assurance. You will program measurement processes, perform precise 3D measurements, and support production with deviations, new products, and process improvements. At the same time, you will be the technical contact person for the operators of the measuring systems.

Tasks

• You will create and optimize offline measurement programs based on CAD models and ensure efficient measurement processes.
• You will perform tactile and optical or scanning 3D measurements and ensure correct execution by the measurement operators.
• You will analyze measurement results and support with deviations, root cause analyses, and technical improvements in manufacturing.
• You will accompany the introduction of new products and define the necessary inspection and measurement concepts for them. CAD model
• You will support internal manufacturing areas as well as external suppliers with metrology and quality-related questions.
• You will use statistical methods such as SPC for process monitoring and continuous improvement, working with suitable statistics tools.
• You will promote technical exchange between metrology, manufacturing, and quality and support the further development of measurement processes.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Completed technical training, ideally with experience in machining, manufacturing technology, or a comparable technical environment.
• Several years of professional experience in coordinate metrology, especially in CMM programming and 3D metrology.
• In-depth experience in handling technical drawings as well as form and positional tolerances.
• Good knowledge of metrology, manufacturing processes, and relevant technical standards; experience with aluminum and stainless steel is an advantage.
• Good spatial reasoning skills as well as good knowledge of mathematics and geometry.
• Very good German skills and ideally good English skills.
• Independent, precise way of working and the ability to provide technical support to measurement operators; willingness for a 2-shift operation.
