Location: Remote (UAE Time Zone)
Experience: 5+ Years
Availability: Immediate joiners or candidates who can start within 30 days preferred


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloudera Administrator to manage and maintain our Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installation, configuration, performance optimization, and operational support of Cloudera components in a production-grade, enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) components including Hive, NIFI, Impala, Oozie, and CML.

  • Manage cluster upgrades, patches, and scaling with minimal downtime.

  • Monitor and optimize cluster performance, capacity, and resource utilization.

  • Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery configurations for critical services.

  • Administer Kerberos authentication, authorization, and SSL/TLS security configurations.

  • Perform daily health checks, job monitoring, and proactively resolve operational issues.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, configuration issues, and service outages.

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine administrative tasks and platform management.

  • Manage backup, recovery, and archiving processes in compliance with enterprise standards.

  • Support incident and problem management, including root cause analysis and permanent resolutions.

  • Analyze and fine-tune HDFS, YARN, and Spark configurations for optimal system performance.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to review and optimize queries, jobs, and workflows.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Cloudera Administrator in large-scale production environments.

  • Strong expertise in Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) administration and Hadoop ecosystem components.

  • Proven experience in cluster management, security setup, and performance tuning.

  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems, shell scripting, and automation tools.

  • Experience with monitoring tools (Cloudera Manager, Ambari, Grafana, etc.).

  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple tasks in a remote setup.

Work Arrangement
  • Remote role, aligned with UAE working hours.

  • Preference for candidates available immediately or within 30 days.
