Cloud Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Cloud Engineering Manager to drive strategic initiatives, build high-performing teams, and develop site reliability engineering capabilities across various countries.

This leadership role requires deep expertise in SRE practices, cloud technologies, and software development, as well as proven experience in managing large-scale projects and diverse teams.

Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a regional SRE strategy to align with organizational goals
• Build and lead SRE teams to ensure efficient service reliability, scalability, and automation
• Develop and enhance standardized SRE capabilities, offerings, tools, and accelerators
• Oversee and implement incident postmortems, drills, and root cause analysis processes
• Optimize operational efficiency through the automation of recurring tasks and processes
• Establish and track service-level objectives (SLOs) and indicators (SLIs) for critical systems
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product reliability initiatives
• Supervise the delivery of Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management solutions
• Manage cloud infrastructure strategies with tools like Terraform and cloud CLIs (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Elevate observability practices with tools like Cloud-native monitoring, DataDog, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Guide teams through performance, scalability, and reliability assessments of key products

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience across SRE, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure management
• 5+ years in leadership roles managing geographically distributed teams
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and related services
• Experience with observability tools (DataDog, Prometheus, ELK), and implementation of monitoring practices
• Advanced skills in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s)
• Competency in infrastructure and configuration management with Terraform and Ansible
• Proven track record in establishing and monitoring SLI, SLO, and service performance metrics
• Fluent English communication skills at a C1 level

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Groovy SDK and Jenkinsfile scripting for advanced CI/CD customization
• Background in designing product monitoring systems for complex, distributed environments
• Understanding of advanced postmortem practices and operational task prioritization
• Showcase of driving business outcomes through SRE enablement efforts
