Cloud Engineer

The Senior Azure Platform Engineer Location – Guadalajara, Jalisco, MX (Hybrid 3 days on-site , 2 days Remote) Job Summary: The Senior Azure Platform Engineer is responsible for automating, deploying and supporting azure cloud services through (Iac)s and CI/CD Pipelines leveraging Terraform and GitHub actions. This role ensures platform stability and consistency and operational excellence across environments while enabling secure scalable developer self-service. The Engineer provides advanced operations support to ensure the smooth operation of Azure-based systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in a timely manner. Additionally, this role will collaborate with other teams to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based architectures using Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Security. • Develop and implement automated deployment scripts using Terraform and GitHub actions for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. • Collaborate with development teams to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements. • Ensure platform stability and consistency by monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in a timely manner. • Provide advanced operations support to ensure the smooth operation of Azure-based systems. • Develop and maintain documentation for cloud-based architectures and services. • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features, services, and best practices to continuously improve and optimize cloud-based solutions. • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical issues. • Collaborate with other teams to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements. • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers on Azure platform engineering best practices and tools. • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on coding standards, best practices, and design decisions. The Engineer will be expected to work closely with the Cloud Engineering team to achieve these goals.
