Cloud Engineer (m/w/d) AWS Network (inhouse/ 80% remote)

Tasks

• Planning, implementation and operation of modern network infrastructures in the AWS Cloud – including Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, Terragrunt and Git
• Development and further development of automation and scripting solutions for the efficient provision and management of network environments
• Configuration, administration and hardening of network components, especially based on FortiOS, Palo Alto and Barracuda
• Ensuring network security, high availability and performance in hybrid, complex cloud and on-premise environments
• Close collaboration with cross-functional teams as well as analysis and troubleshooting to continuously improve security, stability and performance

Qualification

• Completed IT studies or comparable qualification as an IT specialist
• approx. 3 years of professional experience in a comparable role with a focus on cloud and network infrastructure
• Sound knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably with Terraform and Terragrunt
• Experience in automating and managing networks in cloud environments
• Practical experience with firewall management and a solid understanding of network protocols and technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, Routing)
• German language skills (at least C1 level)
