Cloud Architect (m/f/d)

This position is to be filled for our company Medialine EuroTrade AG.

Medialine AG, as a full-service IT system house, stands for tailor-made solutions for the upper middle class. For almost twenty years, our customers have relied on our expertise and know-how in the areas of IT infrastructure, managed & cloud services and business solutions.

We are looking for you immediately as a committed and experienced cloud architect (m/f/d) who will strengthen our Managed Services team with their know-how in modern network and cloud technologies and develop innovative solutions for our IT infrastructures.

Tasks

• Conceptual design, planning and further development of our certified high-availability cloud and data center infrastructures (CompanyCloud)
• Selection, architecture and integration of modern virtualization, network and storage solutions
• Further development and operation of our CompanyCloud network stack based on modern technologies, with a focus on VMware NSX and VXLAN, as well as the manufacturers Arista, Fortinet and Dell
• Development and implementation of security and identity & access management concepts
• Design of backup & disaster recovery solutions (e.g. Veeam, Dell Data Domain)
• Supporting control of routing and ISP policies (OSPF, BGP), as well as LIR management and the operation of our autonomous system
• Supporting integration and optimization of monitoring and proactive monitoring systems (checkMK, PRTG)

Qualification

• Several years of professional experience in the operation and further development of complex cloud, network and IT infrastructures, ideally in a service provider environment
• Sound knowledge in the field of virtualization (VMware vSphere, NSX) or comparable hypervisors and enterprise network architectures
• Experience in the administration of enterprise security stacks and their implementation
• Good knowledge in the field of backup, recovery and storage solutions (Veeam, Dell EMC)
• Knowledge of network protocols (OSPF, BGP) and in the management of IP resources (RIPE)
• Basic knowledge in the area of data center certifications (BSI C5, ISO27001, ISO27017 and ISO27018)
• Strong analytical skills, initiative and team orientation
• Negotiation-level German and English skills
