Location: Porirua Contract: Permanent, Full Time and Part Time available. About the Role We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with a sound knowledge of best-practice psychological theories and experience working in forensic settings. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing assessment, treatment, and consultation services to adults with mental health issues. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive assessments of adult clients presenting with mental health issues, including forensic populations. • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other team members. • Provide consultation services to other professionals working with adults with mental health issues. • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of service plans. • Maintain accurate records of client assessments, treatments, and consultations. • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for the Regional Adult Forensic Service. • Collaborate with other teams within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care. Requirements: • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution. • Current registration as a Registered Psychologist (RP) with the New Zealand Psychological Society (NZPS). • Experience working in forensic settings, preferably within adult mental health services. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Familiarity with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and commitment to promoting equity and cultural responsiveness.
