Job description
Job Title: Freelance Clinical Procurement Specialist
Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)
Contract Type: Freelance / Interim
Duration: 18 months (with potential extension)
Start Date: Beginning week of November
We're looking for a freelance Clinical Procurement Specialist to support clinical sourcing activities across global trials. You'll work closely with Clinical Operations and R&D teams to manage vendor selection, contracts, and procurement strategy - all while keeping timelines tight and compliance watertight.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead sourcing and contracting for CROs, labs, clinical logistics, and trial supplies.
- Run RFPs, negotiate terms, and onboard vendors in line with GxP and internal SOPs.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to align procurement with study timelines.
- Support audits, vendor performance reviews, and risk mitigation.
- Maintain procurement documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
- 3+ years in clinical or R&D procurement (pharma, biotech, or CRO).
- Strong understanding of clinical trial operations and vendor landscape.
- Fluent in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
