Job description
Our client is located on the North Shore, near beaches and Orewa's bustling centre.
Whilst there is hands-on support from management, the owners require an experienced, passionate Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee the day to day operations of this site which provides rest home & hospital level care.
Work 8.30am-5pm or similar, Monday to Friday, and enjoy the combination of 2 days working with your much-loved residents on the floor, + 3 days office-based work.

What will you do?
- Stay abreast of all things clinical; both residents and staff.
- Have a handle on everything running smoothly.
- Welcome and process admissions & visits from prospective resident families
- Maintain infection control & quality control oversight
- Complete InterRai assessments and updates
- Ensure audit preparation, compliance and all clinical reporting are up to date
- Provide inspiring leadership & mentoring to your team of Nurses, Carers, Cleaners and Kitchen staff
You will need:
- Previous clinical nurse management experience working in NZ residential aged care
- To be InterRai trained
- Leadership and staff management experience, a love for mentoring, & bringing out the best in your teams
- In-depth understanding of the NZ Health & Disability Service Standards, external audit processes & compliance
- Experience in decision-making, dealing with external referring agencies and managing any incidents/escalated complaints
- High attention to detail, ability to multi-task and juggle things on the go
- Excellent written documentation and verbal communication skills
- Strong IT and problem solving skills
- A warm, compassionate and welcoming personality
- NZ Nursing registration and current APC.
