The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. Summary Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) assumes responsibility for the effective operations of the unit/department during an assigned shift. The CNC assists in the management of the unit's resources, coordinates patient care activities, and serves as a clinical resource to the staff. Responsibilities * Coordinates patient care activities and assists in the management of the unit/department's resources. * Serves as a clinical resource to the staff. * Ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. * Provides leadership and supervision to the staff on the designated shift. * Assists with staffing and scheduling. * Participates in quality improvement initiatives. * Ensures compliance with hospital policies and procedures. * Communicates effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. * Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education * Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience * Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting. * Previous leadership experience preferred. Licenses and Certifications * Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license. * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. * Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification preferred.
