Clinical Lead - Homecare

About the Role:

  • Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
  • Additional hours, including evenings and nights may be required
  • National travel required

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead our community-based nursing team. This is an exceptional Central Auckland-based opportunity to oversee crucial clinical support to patients and their Whanau in the comfort of their own homes.

With responsibility for a dedicated team of RNs, HCAs and ENs, and supported by two Team Leaders, you will oversee an environment that prioritises patient care, ensuring staff have the time and resources to make a real difference in people's lives. You will ensure strong relationships are built and maintained, whilst being supported by an organisation that has been at the forefront of community health services for over 25 years.

You take on responsibility for essential healthcare services to the community, including health assessments and interventions. You will also develop and implement health promotion initiatives to support the overall wellbeing of clients and their Whanau.

Leading a multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure the clinical and health needs of the wider Auckland community are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee patient care delivery to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Ensures that patients' needs are respected and integrated into care plans
  • Identifies issues in clinical practice and leads improvement projects
  • Ensures adherence to best practices, policies and standards
  • Supports staff with clinical decision-making and problem-solving
  • Acts as a resource, coach and mentor for nursing staff
  • Promotes a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Skills and Experience:

  • Registered nurse with current APC
  • Previous leadership experience required (+ 5 years)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with support workers
  • Full clean drivers licence
  • Experience in the community is preferred, but not essential
