Clinical Facilitator - Durban
Job description
RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Facilitator – Operating Room to join our client’s team in Durban. This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse with a strong background in theatre nursing to play a key role in supporting the education, development, and clinical guidance of nursing staff within the operating room. Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Facilitate clinical training and education programs for theatre nursing staff
- Ensure evidence-based practices are implemented and maintained in the operating room
- Support the orientation and onboarding of new staff in the theatre environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify training needs and implement development plans
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of staff performance and competencies
- Promote best practices and adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards
- Provide hands-on support in complex surgical procedures when required
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Registered with SANC as a Professional Nurse
- Post-basic qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science is essential
- A qualification in Nursing Education will be advantageous
- Proven experience in an Operating Room/Theatre environment
- Previous experience as a Clinical Facilitator or in a training/mentorship role preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching, continuous learning, and clinical excellence
