Job description
What happens when you combine strategic client partnership, technology, service delivery, and development in one role? Then you get a position where you can truly make a difference for Centric's largest retail clients.
As Client Service Director, you are the driving force behind the success of our most important client relationships. You understand the client's business, think strategically, and ensure ambitions are translated into concrete results. You connect people, steer towards quality and progress, and maintain control over both service delivery and financial performance.
What you do
As Client Service Director, you are responsible for the total success of your client relationships. You are the strategic sparring partner for large retail clients and ensure that client needs, service delivery, projects, and commercial objectives come together. You oversee the whole, connect the right people, and take the lead when necessary. From strategic advice and client satisfaction to operational progress and financial results: you ensure coherence, control, and results.
Strategic client partnership: you build sustainable relationships with large retail clients and are their discussion partner at director and management level. You understand their strategy, challenges, and ambitions and translate these into concrete solutions and opportunities.
Control over service delivery: you monitor the quality, continuity, and performance of service delivery in the area of hardware and services. You ensure that agreements are met and that service delivery aligns with client expectations.
Program management and project control: you maintain an overview of multiple projects, programs, and improvement initiatives. You monitor coherence, planning, progress, risks, and results and ensure that involved teams work together towards the same goal.
Client satisfaction and escalation management: you identify bottlenecks before they escalate, take the lead when things get stuck, and ensure clear agreements and follow-up. You translate client feedback into structural improvements.
Collaboration and stakeholder management: you connect the client with the various teams within Centric, including delivery, project management, technical, commercial, and finance. You create clarity about priorities, responsibilities, and results and hold stakeholders accountable where necessary.
Financial responsibility and forecasting: you monitor the financial performance of your accounts, including revenue, margins, costs, and contractual agreements. You ensure an up-to-date and reliable forecast, analyze deviations, and make adjustments based on developments in service delivery, projects, and client needs.
Commercial development and growth: you identify opportunities to expand collaboration with additional hardware, services, and solutions. You translate client needs into concrete propositions and business cases and work with commercial colleagues on sustainable growth and profitability.
Continuous improvement and looking ahead: you critically examine the collaboration, processes, and service delivery. You initiate improvements, advise on future needs, and ensure that Centric continues to develop as a strategic partner to the client.
What you get
At Centric, as a Client Service Director, you can count on:
A gross salary between €6,500 and €8,000 per month, depending on knowledge and experience
Possibility of working from home and a good work-life balance because you are given the freedom to determine how you organize your workweek
Extensive training and development opportunities

A contribution to your pension and a discount on your collective health insurance
A company laptop and phone
A home office allowance of €15 per month plus €2.45 net per home working day and a travel allowance for commuting of €0.25 net per kilometer or an NS Businesscard
Employee offers at leading brands

An employee association that organizes really fun events. Will you join us in Prague, the Efteling, or skiing?
What you bring
You are an experienced professional who combines customer-centricity, strategic insight, and results orientation. You understand that large retail clients demand more than good account management. You need to know their business, be able to oversee complex service delivery, and be capable of connecting people, processes, projects, and financial objectives.
You take ownership, maintain an overview when interests diverge, and dare to make decisions when adjustments are needed. You move easily at director level, but also have an eye for the daily practice and know how to translate plans into concrete results.
Additionally, you bring:
Demonstrable experience with large retail clients. This is a hard requirement. You know the dynamics of larger retail organizations and understand how technology, hardware, and IT services contribute to the continuity of their business operations.
Experience with strategic account management, service delivery, program management, or a comparable integral client responsibility.
Experience with coordinating complex service delivery, projects, and various stakeholders.
Financial insight and experience with budget monitoring, revenue and margin development, and forecasting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to switch between director, management, and operational teams.
A proactive and results-oriented attitude: you identify risks, see opportunities, and ensure that agreements are met.
Completing an assessment may be part of this application procedure.
