Class 5 Driver - Civil Construction Projects
Location: Christchurch
We're currently seeking a skilled and reliable Class 5 Driver to join a busy and well-established civil construction team based in Christchurch.
This role is ideal for someone with solid heavy vehicle experience, a strong understanding of transport safety, and confidence operating on both urban streets and rural accessways.

Key Responsibilities:

Transporting heavy civil machinery and gear (e.g. rollers, excavators, spreaders) to and from multiple worksites
Completing pre-start checks and basic maintenance on trucks
Ensuring loads are secured safely and transported in compliance with NZTA regulations
Navigating urban roads and tight construction zones with care and precision
Coordinating with site supervisors and logistics teams to meet project timelines
Occasional general site assistance when not driving

What We're Looking For:

Full NZ Class 5 Driver's Licence
Road ranger gearbox experience is essential
Proven experience transporting heavy machinery or operating within construction or roading environments
Good working knowledge of load security, safety protocols, and NZ road transport regulations
High level of situational awareness and professionalism on the road
Physically fit and willing to lend a hand on-site when required
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
NZ Citizen, Resident, or valid Work Visa holder
