My amazing client are based in Middleton (Christchurch) and they are after a hardworking, outside of the box thinker to join their team.
You will be responsible for managing your own workload and making sure all your deliveries are on time and everything while on the road runs smoothly.

If you aren’t afraid to roll your sleeves, get stuck in when needed but like the idea of working for a high-end company who won’t micromanage you and you take pride in what you do then get in touch!

THE ROLE

• You will be responsible for delivering freight all over the South Island.
• Build good rapport with customers and have a positive can-do attitude.
• Unloading and loading of trucks – including securing of freight on the trucks to ensure no items are damaged on delivery. Ideal candidate will have forklift license
• Driver would need to help dispatch / warehouse team when necessary.
• Performing pre-start checks on the vehicle each day.
• This role will suit someone who enjoys being on the road , seeing the country and happy with managing their own work load/schedule as well as being in a warehouse
• Help plan the delivery routes with the warehouse supervisor/team.

IMPORTANT NOTE
** You will be away from home a few nights a week/fortnight /month depending on the business needs- this can vary each week.
If you are not able to commit to a few nights away please do not apply for this role. Accommodation and meals while away will be reimbursed.


ABOUT YOU

• Must hold valid Class 4 licence and have at least 1 yrs NZ driving experience with that licence
• Forklift licence preferred
• Good understanding of the NZTA regulation
• Common sense in this role is key.
• Proactive problem solver
• Someone not afraid to roll up their sleeves and muck in
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
• Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks.

Salary $72500 a year + 10% bonus ( OTE $79750 a year)
Middleton (Christchurch) Based company.
Day shifts Monday to Friday
Great pay and meal expenses (lunch and dinner when away from the home region) & overnight accommodation provided.
