Job description
Driver Hire Uxbridge are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) for our customers in the UB postcode area (Uxbridge/Hayes/Greenford/West Drayton etc)
PLEASE NOTE ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED
£17.51 to £20.50 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)
(Depending on experience, overtime, nights, weekends etc)
Excellent rates of pay!

Requirements:
Valid UK CAT C manual licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements)
Valid CPC and TACHO
You must be over the age of 25 years – for insurance purposes
At least 1 year HGV Class 2 driving experience (references required)
Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C) in the past 12 months
Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
Type of shifts (depending on Company):
A to B drops, Multi drop deliveries in and around M25 (up to 10 drops)
Movies/TV and Events
Builders merchants and Scaffolding
Shifts are mainly during the week - Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
All-round Duties:
As a Class 2 Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism
Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner
Secure load onto vehicle (strapping)
Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Rates of pay:
We are paying for minimum 8 hours a day
Overtime is paid after 9 hours (breaks are not paid)
PAYE between £17.51 and £20.50 per hour (rates differ for experience, nights, weekends, bank/public holidays and overtime)
For the right candidates we are willing to up-skill you (HIAB certificate)
