Class 1 Shunter Driver

Class 1 Shunter Location : North Tawton Shift : 4on 4off, Nights Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence? If "YES," we want to hear from you! About the Role As a Class 1 Shunter, you will: * Perform shunting operations between our customer site in Crediton and our North Tawton site, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of loads. * Shunt, load, and unload trailers, ensuring all units are safely positioned in designated bays and yard areas. * Support general yard operations to maintain a safe, efficient, and organized working environment. * Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects promptly. * Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations. * Maintain accurate records of shunting activities and any incidents or issues encountered. * Collaborate effectively with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth operations. Requirements: * Valid UK Class 1 CE Driving Licence. * Valid Driver CPC qualification. * Valid UK digital tachograph card. * Previous shunting experience is advantageous but not essential. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong understanding of health and safety procedures. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Reliability and a strong work ethic.
