Job description
Job Description The Complex Claims Consultant role will sit within TAL’s Cbus portfolio team, responsible for managing a portfolio of high-value, underwritten TPD claims. You will apply your strong technical expertise and knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act to navigate complex arrangements and deliver quality outcomes for members. In this role you will: Independently manage a portfolio (35-45) of complex, underwritten, and high-value TPD claims with accuracy, efficiency, resilience and empathy, ensuring timely and effective resolution of claims. You will also: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including members, employers, and other key parties. Utilize your analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential issues, and provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and maintain high standards of service. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Cbus portfolio team, to ensure seamless integration and effective management of claims. Provide high-quality, timely, and accurate reporting to stakeholders, including claims data and performance metrics. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Cbus portfolio, including its unique characteristics, strengths, and challenges. Utilize this knowledge to inform strategic decisions and drive business outcomes. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that members receive a high level of support and guidance throughout the claims process. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the TAL and Cbus brands, values, and culture, and ensure that all interactions with stakeholders reflect these values. Provide support and guidance to other team members, as required, to ensure the effective management of claims. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Insurance Contracts Act and other relevant legislation, and ensure that all claims are managed in accordance with these laws.
