Claims Advisor Transport Insurance

As a claims advisor for transport insurance, you will handle the more complex claims files within transport and logistics. Your expertise will be called upon when a file requires additional analysis or guidance.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• You advise and support colleagues in handling claims files within air, road, and sea transport and logistics.
• You take the lead in complex files, including claims above €5,000, files involving experts, and files where lawyers are engaged.
• You analyze the circumstances of a claim and determine what information and steps are necessary to further process the file.
• You monitor existing procedures for transport claims and ensure their correct application.
• You maintain contact with insurers and brokers.
• You support the administrative management of various insurances, including fire, professional liability, civil liability, and all-risk.
• You analyze customer contracts and identify insurable risks.
• You advise colleagues and other branches when they require additional expertise for a complex claims file.
• You engage experts or lawyers if necessary and continue to follow up on their intervention.
• You negotiate with various involved parties, while safeguarding the interest of correct file processing.

For this position, we are looking for someone who already has experience with claims and feels comfortable with complex files.

• You have experience in claims management or a similar role in an insurance environment.
• Knowledge of CMR insurances is a significant asset.
• You are analytical and critically examine the various elements of a file.
• You can thoroughly analyze contracts and risks.
• You communicate fluently with clients, colleagues, insurers, experts, and other involved parties.
• You are a strong negotiator and know how to bring different interests together professionally.
• You speak Dutch, French, and English fluently.
