APM Terminals is a global port and terminal operator, with a network of terminals and significant ongoing investments in infrastructure development. Project Overview – Lázaro Cárdenas, México APM Terminals is undertaking the construction of a new wharf at the Port of Lázaro Cárdenas, located in the state of Michoacán, Mexico. The project involves the design and construction of a 400-meter-long wharf with a depth of 12 meters, as well as the installation of various infrastructure components such as lighting, signage, and security systems. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months from the start date. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Civil/Wharf /Marine Construction Engineer to join our team in Lázaro Cárdenas, México. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed according to plan and within budget. This includes overseeing the design and construction of the wharf, as well as coordinating with other stakeholders such as contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Key Responsibilities • Design and construct the wharf in accordance with the approved design and specifications • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with project requirements • Oversee the installation of infrastructure components such as lighting, signage, and security systems • Ensure that all aspects of the project are executed according to plan and within budget • Collaborate with other stakeholders to resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in the port and terminal industry • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word • Familiarity with project management software such as Asana or Trello is an asset Benefits • Competitive salary and benefits package • Opportunity to work on a high-profile project with a global company • Collaborative and dynamic work environment • Professional development opportunities • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
