The Gig

With a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects on deck, a newly created role is available for a proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven, Project Engineer to join the business. Your primary goal is simple – You will be accountable for providing engineering expertise to develop project construction methodologies; plan and price scopes of work, along with technical content and programs for a civil project based in Western Sydney working alongside a large Tier 2 builder.

Reporting to the Project Manager you’ll ply your trade, and be trusted with;

• Developing and managing project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely, cost-effective completion.
• Leading and overseeing daily operations on construction sites, ensuring safety and project specifications.
• Providing engineering expertise and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implementing and monitoring quality control measures to meet project standards and client expectations.
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication and progress.
• Managing and allocating resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Identifying and resolving technical and operational issues to maintain smooth project execution.
• Ensuring compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations across all project activities.
• Developing accurate project documentation and preparing regular progress reports for stakeholders.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices in project management.

What’s In Your Toolbox?

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in civil infrastructure and construction projects
• Proficient in MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
• Strong project management, budgeting, risk management, quality control, and compliance knowledge
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, time management, and multitasking skills
