Civil Labourer

Workfast is seeking a reliable Civil Labourer to join the construction of a Substation & Switching Station near Minore, NSW. This is a ongoing role starting ASAP on a solar project.

Details: Pay Rate: $38.00 p/hr + OT + Super
Location: Dubbo, NSW
Start: ASAP
Hours: 6:50am starts, 10–12 hour shifts

About the Role

This role involves assisting with civil construction activities on a Substation and Switching Station upgrade. You must be reliable, hardworking, physically fit, and able to work safely around machinery. Strong attention to detail, effective communication and the ability to be on your feet all day are essential to success in this role.


What You Will Be Doing:

• Supporting civil crews on substation construction works
• Assisting with formwork, foundations, trenching and concrete preparation
• General civil labouring and materials handling
• Spotting for machinery and trades
• Site clean-up and supporting plant operators
• Following all substation access, safety and requirements

Must Have:

• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Drivers License & Reliable Transport
• Previous civil or construction labouring experience
• Strong safety awareness
• Ability to follow strict site access and PPE requirements
• No camp/accommodation provided — local or Dubbo-based candidates preferred.

Benefits:

• Daily Travel and Meal Allowance (If 1.5 hrs qty of OT worked in a shift)
• Ongoing work on major Essential Energy infrastructure
• 10–12 hour shifts, early 6:50am prestart
• Work with an established civil contractor on a critical regional project
• Immediate Start
