What you'll be doing: As a Civil Fibre Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fibre optic cables and other telecommunications infrastructure. This role requires strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces. Key responsibilities include: • Installing and testing fibre optic cables and other telecommunications infrastructure • Maintaining and repairing existing fibre optic cables and other telecommunications infrastructure • Conducting site inspections and reporting on any defects or issues found • Collaborating with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively. What we're looking for: We're seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Fibre Technician who has a strong background in the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will have: • A relevant trade qualification (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering) • At least 2 years of experience working on fibre optic cable installations and maintenance • Strong physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Ability to work safely and follow safety procedures.
