Job description
- Major Civil Infrastructure projects
- Based in Sydney
- $80,000 - $100,000
The works typically involves managing aspects of projects as assigned to ensure full implementation of client requirements and to quality, safety and commercial standards and targets.
Main duties include:
- Assist the design and estimation team during tendering through site inspections, reviewing drawings, and clarifying project scope and contract requirements.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including construction drawings, daily plans, and safety, environmental, and quality records.
- Prepare project budgeting, monitor costs against forecasts, and update projections throughout the project.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and labour resources to meet project schedules and operational requirements.
- Monitor on-site progress, ensure works meet technical, safety, and quality standards, resolve issues, and liaise with clients on updates and variations.
- Manage project administration, including progress claims, end-of-project documentation, and maintaining supplier and subcontractor records.
- Maintain OH&S, Environmental & Quality Systems awareness
- Tertiary (civil engineering discipline) qualification
- Awareness and understanding of relevant standards (IS09001, AS2159 and AS4801) and of the construction industry (piling)
- Understanding of Australian contract specifications.
- At least 3-5 years in a civil engineering (piling) and /or construction environment in a similar role
- Close attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to deadlines in a pressured environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, and Outlook
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Sound commercial orientation
- Competitive salary on offer ranging from $80,000 - $100,000
- Full-time permanent position
