Civil Engineering Draftsperson

We are currently seeking a dedicated Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our growing team.

As a Civil Engineering Draftsperson, you will support the engineering team in preparing detailed drawings and plans for a wide range of civil engineering works. You will also assist in field and laboratory activities and ensure all designs and documentation meet engineering standards and client requirements.

• Prepare sketches, plans, charts, tabulations, and designs for civil engineering projects such as:

1. Drainage systems
2. Water supply and sewerage reticulation
3. Roads, bridges, dams, and airports

• Perform and oversee fieldwork and laboratory testing
• Interpret work assignment instructions and apply relevant procedures, standards, and equipment
• Collect and analyse technical data and carry out necessary computations
• Estimate material quantities and costs; ensure project deliverables comply with specifications and regulations
• Inspect civil engineering works and organise/supervise maintenance and repair activities
• Conduct material and soil tests, and collect data for traffic and site surveys

• Minimum AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Strong knowledge of civil drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
• Familiarity with Australian engineering standards and local regulations
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently in both office and field environments
