Civil Engineer or Technician - Hydroelectricity and Dams

Our civil/structures team specializing in hydroelectric engineering and dams is looking for a civil engineer or technician. Benefiting from solid recognition in the field of hydroelectricity and dams, our team realizes multidisciplinary projects with major market players in energy. We offer a flexible hybrid work mode allowing you to work from your home and from our offices in Montreal or Laval.

Main responsibilities

• Participate in the design and engineering of projects related to new installations and modification/refurbishment of hydroelectric facilities;
• Participate in multidisciplinary coordination of engineering works with disciplines such as control and apparatus, turbine-alternator group, auxiliary mechanical and heavy machinery, etc.;
• Perform inspections of hydraulic structures (dams, floodgates, power plants, etc.) and produce inspection reports;
• Participate in analyzing construction methods;
• Perform quantity calculations and cost estimates;
• Participate in site surveillance activities;
• Perform design calculations for reinforced concrete and structural steel;
• Perform DAO drawings (Autocad, Revit, etc.);
• Supervise and ensure quality control of work performed by the drafting team;
• Assist in writing technical proposals.
