Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our client's team in Bloemfontein in the capacity of a Local Development Consultant (LDC) specializing in Water & Sanitation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a demonstrated commitment to improving water and sanitation infrastructure in the community. Responsibilities: Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments to gather data and inform the development of water and sanitation infrastructure projects. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities, community leaders, and other relevant parties. Provide technical assistance and support to project teams, ensuring that projects are implemented effectively and efficiently. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures. Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with water and sanitation infrastructure projects. Develop and maintain accurate records of project progress, including site visits, surveys, assessments, and other relevant information. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and outcomes. Participate in training and capacity-building activities to enhance skills and knowledge in the area of water and sanitation infrastructure development. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water and sanitation infrastructure projects. Strong technical expertise in areas such as water treatment, wastewater management, and stormwater management. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
