City Dispatcher

The Dispatcher role is a fast-paced, demanding position focused on planning and coordinating the pickups and deliveries for our Saskatoon service area, including surrounding rural routes. We're looking to onboard a dedicated professional to join our team and help us meet or exceed our customers' expectations.

As a Dispatcher, you'll be the nerve center of our operations, ensuring smooth and efficient daily flow. Your key duties will include:

• Load Planning & Coordination: Planning and coordinating all terminal pickups and deliveries, including LTL load planning and city/rural route planning.

• Driver & Staff Supervision: Supervising City Drivers (and potentially brokers), providing direction, and delegating tasks effectively.

• Communication & Customer Service: Consistently answering the phone and dealing with driver requirements (e.g., hook up information, delay updates, concerns). This includes communicating effectively with internal staff and external customers.

• System Management: Working within the AS/400 platform to execute scheduling, track shipments for customers, and perform other necessary system tasks.

• Documentation & Compliance: Printing labels, adding comments to justify non-service deliveries, and ensuring proper company policy and safety guidelines are followed.

• Leadership & Safety: Demonstrating leadership, promoting a safety-minded culture, and assisting with appointment booking and rescheduling of priorities.

• Other duties as assigned.
