Job Description: Driver

Area: Logistics / Production

Location: Mexico City

Reports to: Administrative Area

Staff supervised: No staff supervised

Job Objective

Ensure the safe, efficient, and punctual transport of merchandise, ensuring proper handling of cargo, document control, and vehicle care. Represent the company professionally to clients and suppliers, providing operational support in the plant when required.

Main Functions

  • Drive transport units in compliance with traffic and safety regulations.
  • Daily review of the physical and mechanical condition of the unit.
  • Verify that the merchandise matches invoices and documentation.
  • Perform loading, transport, and unloading of merchandise according to instructions.
  • Ensure correct arrangement and safeguarding of cargo during transport.
  • Report vehicular, operational, or merchandise incidents.
  • Record entries, exits, and activities performed.
  • Maintain constant communication with supervision.
  • Represent the company with a professional, ethical, and respectful demeanor.

Administrative and Support Functions

  • Deliver and collect invoices and delivery notes duly signed.
  • Manage expense and per diem verification.
  • Support operational activities within the plant when there are no trips.
  • Collaborate in basic unit maintenance.
  • Comply with activities for order, cleanliness, and conservation of the area.

Responsibilities

  • Use, care, and basic maintenance of the assigned unit.
  • Management and verification of per diem and operational expenses.
  • Custody of documents, merchandise, and vehicle keys.
  • Confidential handling of operational and commercial information.
  • Compliance with routes, delivery times, and internal procedures.
  • Basic operational decision-making to ensure the safety and efficiency of the service.

Requirements

Education:

  • Completed secondary education (minimum).

Experience:

  • Experience in driving cargo units (vans or trucks).
  • Handling of merchandise, routes, and documentation (invoices/delivery notes).
  • Client interaction and fulfillment of deliveries.
