Job description
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Chip Sealing Foreman to join a well-established civil crew based in Rolleston. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced leader in the roading industry who is ready to hit the ground running.
Start Date: ASAP Location: Rolleston and surrounding Canterbury regions Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (with occasional weekend/overtime work as required)

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a chip sealing crew on-site to ensure daily operations run efficiently and safely
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee chip sealing projects from preparation through to completion
- Ensure quality control standards are met and maintained throughout the sealing process
- Operate and monitor sealing equipment as required
- Liaise with project managers, truck drivers, traffic management teams, and clients to ensure seamless workflow
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, site activities, and crew performance
- Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure all H&S procedures are followed
- Provide hands-on training and support to team members as needed
- Proven experience as a Chip Sealing Foreman or in a similar leadership role in the civil/roading sector
- Strong knowledge of chip sealing techniques, equipment, and materials
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to read and interpret job specs and plans
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
- Full NZ Driver's License (Class 2 or 4 preferred)
- WTR endorsements and Traffic Control tickets (advantageous)
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
