Chip Sealing Crew - Full-Time | Rolleston

We're on the lookout for reliable and hardworking individuals to join an experienced chip sealing crew based in Rolleston. This is a great opportunity for those with civil roading experience or a strong work ethic looking to build their career in the industry.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Rolleston & wider Canterbury region

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (overtime and weekend work available during busy periods)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with chip sealing operations including preparation, application, and clean-up
- Operate and maintain sealing equipment and tools under supervision (e.g. spreaders, brooms, sprayers)
- Shovel, rake, and broom loose chip to ensure even coverage
- Support traffic management and site safety as directed
- Load and unload materials and supplies for daily jobs
- Follow instructions from the site Foreman and ensure work is completed to a high standard
- Participate in daily health and safety briefings and adhere to all site safety protocols
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and well-organised

✅ What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in chip sealing or general civil/roading work is preferred but not essential
- A good level of physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all conditions
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work well in a team and take direction
- Full Driver's Licence (Class 1 required; Class 2 or 4 a bonus)
- WTR endorsements and TC tickets are an advantage
- A strong focus on health and safety
