Chip Runner / Labourer – Civil Construction

Do you enjoy working outdoors, travelling, and being part of a hardworking team? We're looking for motivated Chip Runners / Labourers to join a specialist road sealing crew delivering projects across New Zealand.

What You'll Be Doing
As part of our road sealing crew, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality roading projects by:
- Assisting with chip sealing operations on road construction and maintenance projects.
- Operating chip spreader controls and supporting the efficient application of sealing chip.
- Communicating with truck drivers and crew members using radios and hand signals.
- Supporting the safe movement of vehicles and equipment around the worksite.
- Assisting with general labouring duties, equipment setup, cleaning, and daily maintenance.
- Working closely with experienced operators and supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for people with a great attitude who enjoy working as part of a team.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A Full New Zealand Class 1 or Class 2 Driver Licence (Class 4 is an advantage).
- Previous experience in civil construction, roading, labouring, or a similar hands-on environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work alongside drivers and machine operators.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety.

Important Information
This role requires flexibility, as you'll regularly travel and work away from home, sometimes for several weeks at a time. Weekend work, including Sundays, may be required depending on project demands.
