Child Care Worker (Multiple Positions) - Full Time, Permanent

Kids Haven Early Learning Centre (KHELC) in Kew, NSW, is a childcare and early education provider for children aged six weeks to six years, offering tailored programs that focus on education, social interaction, health, and wellbeing. It operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM and is located at 193 Ocean Drive, Kew, NSW 2439.

The purpose of a Child Care Worker is to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and holistic development of children by providing care, supervision, and structured educational activities in early learning environments. They play a vital role in shaping children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth during their formative years.

• Provide safe, hygienic, and hazard‑free care environment
• Supervise children during play, meals, rest, and transitions
• Administer first aid and document incidents appropriately
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, toileting, and dressing routines
• Support rest and comfort schedules for children of all ages
• Implement age‑appropriate learning activities under EYLF
• Encourage play‑based learning to build creativity and social skills
• Observe, record, and report developmental progress of children
• Communicate with parents on wellbeing, learning, and behaviour
• Maintain compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum entry requirement)
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Emergency Asthma Management training
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for family engagement
