Your Mission

• You develop CUREOSITY's long-term technology strategy and translate it into a clear technological roadmap for our products, platforms, and internal systems.
• You consistently prioritize technology investments and development capacities based on customer benefit, strategic relevance, and sustainable company success.
• You are responsible for the technological direction of our entire portfolio – from our VR therapy products and digital platforms to Data & Business Intelligence and Corporate IT.
• You set the direction for key architectural and technology decisions and ensure that scalability, quality, security, and maintainability are guaranteed in the long term.
• Together with the engineering teams, you establish high standards for software architecture, development processes, testing, and the sustainable management of technical debt.
• As a MedTech company, you develop our technology considering regulatory and safety-relevant requirements such as ISO 13485, MDR, data protection, and cybersecurity.
• Together with the Director of Product Development & Engineering, you develop our engineering organization, structures, and competencies along our further growth.
• You are responsible for the strategic development of our Corporate IT and, together with the team, ensure secure, scalable, and reliable operation.
• You evaluate new technologies – especially in the areas of AI, XR, and platform technologies – regarding concrete customer benefit, efficiency potential, and sustainable competitive differentiation.
• As CUREOSITY's technological voice, you represent our technology vision to investors, partners, customers, and at relevant industry events.

Your Profile

• You have many years of experience in a senior technological role – for example, as CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, or in a comparable responsibility.
• You have built, led, and further developed technology organizations during growth phases and know how to combine technical excellence, speed, and scalability.
• You can assess modern software architectures, cloud infrastructures, APIs, and distributed systems both strategically and technically.
• You have experience with the development and scaling of marketable digital products and platforms; experience with regulated products or in the MedTech environment is a strong plus.
• You understand regulatory requirements, cybersecurity, and data protection not as downstream compliance issues, but as an integral part of a sustainable technology architecture.
• You can pragmatically assess new technologies – including AI – regarding customer benefit, product potential, efficiency, and long-term competitive advantage.
• Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine, Android-based devices, and XR/VR technologies is advantageous.
• You can clearly communicate complex technological decisions and bring together different perspectives from product, engineering, operations, and business.
• You present yourself confidently when dealing with technology partners, service providers, and suppliers and possess corresponding negotiation skills.
• You communicate fluently in German and English and can convincingly represent our technology vision both internally and to investors, partners, and customers.
• A technical university degree or training background or a comparable technological qualification forms the basis of your expertise.
