About wivra

wivra is a corporate venture of Witzenmann GmbH. We are developing an Industrial IoT Monitoring solution for industrial piping systems, consisting of intelligent sensor technology and a cloud-based SaaS platform. We are looking for a CTO in the Karlsruhe/Pforzheim/Stuttgart region, effective immediately, who will be responsible for and significantly shape the establishment and development of our corporate venture.

Your Role

You will be responsible for the technology and product development of the venture from the outset. You will build upon an initial product generation with ongoing customer projects, further develop the architecture and roadmap, and shape a powerful hardware and software engineering team as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the technological vision, strategy, and implementation of the venture

• Close collaboration with the commercial managing director to develop a scalable platform model

• Responsibility for the design, further development, and scaling of a high-performance, future-proof tech architecture with a high degree of freedom in technology decisions

• Building a technological roadmap in alignment with business objectives

• Building and leading a high-performing engineering team (Hardware & Software)

• Introduction and establishment of modern development standards

• Responsibility for time-to-market, scalability, security, and performance of the platform

• Selection and management of external partners and service providers for the technical further development of the product/service (e.g., agencies, tech providers)

Your Profile:

• Enthusiasm for the development and scaling of new business models

• Initial experience as CTO, Lead Engineer, or in a comparable technical leadership role in a startup or high-growth environment

• Demonstrated experience in building scalable digital products/services (ideally platforms or SaaS)

• In-depth understanding of modern software architectures (e.g., microservices, cloud-native, API-first)

• Ideally, experience in electronics development for Industrial IoT

• Experience in modern cloud software development (especially Azure Cloud)

• Strong understanding of product development, UX, and data-driven decisions

• Very good language skills in German and English

• Entrepreneurial mindset, high sense of personal responsibility, and a "hands-on" mentality
