About the Role We’re seeking a high-performing COO with deep operational experience inside a personal injury law firm . You will act as the second-in-command to the CEO and run the daily operations of a multi-department law firm with 200 staff, 19 departments, and aggressive growth goals. This is not a learning position — it’s for someone who has already operated in the trenches of PI and knows how to make every part of the engine run efficiently. Key Responsibilities Departmental Oversight: Direct oversight of all 19 departments, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic goals and operational efficiency. Performance Management: Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all departments, driving continuous improvement and accountability. Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve client satisfaction. Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources, including budget, personnel, and technology, to maximize productivity and achieve strategic objectives. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Technology Integration: Oversee the integration and utilization of technology solutions to streamline operations, enhance communication, and improve data analysis. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, managing risks and mitigating potential liabilities. Financial Management: Collaborate with the CFO to manage the firm's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the firm's strategic plans, aligning operational activities with overall business goals. Client Experience: Champion client satisfaction by ensuring a seamless and positive client experience throughout the firm. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within a personal injury law firm, with a proven track record of operational excellence. Deep understanding of the PI legal landscape, including case management systems, litigation processes, and industry best practices. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a large and diverse team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Proven ability to drive process improvements, implement KPIs, and manage performance. Experience with financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
