We are building the EnergyOS for multi-family homes.

In Germany, there are over 3.3 million multi-family homes – and they are the black hole of the energy transition.

At the same time, regulation forces owners to make massive investments: Solar becomes mandatory, Smart Meters must be rolled out across the country within the next 5 years, heating and mobility electrify themselves. The multi-family home is transformed from a concrete goldmine into an active part of the decentralized energy infrastructure.

What's missing is an integrated system that makes this transformation economically and operationally manageable.

VREY combines certified measurement station operations with its own software and enables property owners to sell their self-generated solar power directly to their tenants – simply and without becoming an energy supplier (§42b EnWG).

This turns regulatory pressure into a profitable and planned opportunity:

• Twofold returns and value appreciation for property owners,
• ~20% electricity cost savings for tenants, and
• digital infrastructure for storage, heat pumps, and flexibility.

We already manage a three-digit number of projects – including the largest portfolio holders and housing associations – across all 16 federal states. This makes us one of the leading providers in the market within a short time.

Mission der Rolle

You work as an extended arm of the founders, ensuring that strategic priorities are clearly defined, cleanly implemented, and aligned across the company.

Your goal: Focus, speed, and structure in a rapidly growing company to elevate VREY to the next scaling level.

1. Sparringspartner der Gründer

• You structure complex questions and prepare solid decision-making foundations
• You translate vision and strategy into concrete roadmaps and operational goals
• You challenge assumptions, identify risks, and ensure clear prioritization

2. Steuerung unternehmenskritischer Initiativen

• You take ownership of cross-functional key projects (e.g., new business models, organizational design, fundraising preparation)
• You ensure the structured and timely implementation of strategic initiatives
• You identify bottlenecks early on and resolve critical issues with high personal responsibility

3. Organisationsentwicklung & Performance-Management

• You help build scalable structures, decision-making processes, and reporting systems
• You establish clear goal systems (e.g., OKRs) and performance transparency
• You support recruiting, team development, and leadership topics

• You have already gained experience in Consulting (Tier 1/Tier 2), High-Growth Start-ups, or VC/PE
• You have a completed degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as economics, energy management, or business administration
• You have already gained experience in the energy or real estate sector, or bring a strong interest in start-ups, energy, or real estate with you
• You think entrepreneurially, make independent decisions, and set clear priorities with a focus on impact, scalability, and long-term company success
• You are looking for a job that is not 9-to-5, but wants to take responsibility in a fast-paced, founder-near environment, build structures, and actively shape growth
• You strive to become the best version of yourself and seek environments where you can fully develop your potential
• You are willing to relocate to Berlin – our office is our home base
• You speak German and English fluently
