About Us

At VREY, we are building the EnergyOS for Multi-Family Buildings.

There are over 3.3 million multi-party buildings in Germany – and they are the black hole of the energy transition.

At the same time, regulation is forcing owners into massive investments: solar is becoming mandatory, smart meters must be rolled out nationwide within the next 5 years, heating and mobility are electrifying. The multi-family building is transforming from a concrete asset into an active part of the decentralized energy infrastructure.

What's missing is an integrated system that makes this transformation economically and operationally manageable.

VREY combines certified metering point operation with its own software, enabling owners for the first time to sell their self-generated solar power directly to their tenants – easily and without becoming an energy supplier themselves (§42b EnWG).

This turns regulatory obligation into a profitable and predictable opportunity:

• Double-digit returns and value appreciation for owners,

• ~20% electricity cost savings for tenants, and

• digital infrastructure for storage, heat pumps, and flexibility.

We are already managing a three-digit number of projects – including the largest portfolio holders and housing cooperatives – in all 16 federal states. This makes us one of the leading providers in the market in a very short time.

As part of our seed funding, we have raised €3.3 million from leading impact and energy VCs (including Rubio Impact Ventures, HTGF, Kopa Ventures). With the fresh capital, we are entering the next phase of growth and strategically expanding our team.

Your Profile

• You already have initial experience in Consulting (Tier 1/Tier 2), High-Growth Start-ups, or in VC/PE

• You have a completed university degree or a comparable qualification in a relevant field such as Industrial Engineering, Energy Management, or Business Administration

• You have prior experience in the energy or real estate industry, or possess a strong interest in start-ups, energy, or real estate

• You think entrepreneurially, make well-founded decisions independently, and set clear priorities with a view to impact, scalability, and long-term company success

• You are consciously not looking for a 9-to-5 job, but want to take responsibility in a fast-paced, founder-centric environment, build structures, and actively shape growth

• You strive to become the best version of yourself and seek environments where you can unfold your full potential

• You are based in Berlin (or willing to relocate) – our office is our home base

• You speak German and English fluently

Your Tasks

Mission of the Role

You will work as an extended arm of the founders, ensuring that strategic priorities are clearly defined, cleanly implemented, and aligned across the company. Your goal: to bring focus, speed, and structure to a fast-growing company and elevate VREY to the next level of scaling.

1. Sparring Partner for the Founders

• You will structure complex issues and prepare well-founded decision-making bases

• You will translate vision and strategy into concrete roadmaps and operational goals

• You will challenge assumptions, identify risks, and ensure clear prioritization

2. Management of Mission-Critical Initiatives

• You will take ownership of cross-departmental key projects (e.g., new business models, organizational design, fundraising preparation)

• You will ensure the structured and timely implementation of strategic initiatives

• You will identify bottlenecks early and resolve critical issues with a high degree of personal responsibility

3. Organizational Development & Performance Management

• You will assist in building scalable structures, decision-making processes, and reporting systems

• You will establish clear goal systems (e.g., OKRs) and performance transparency

• You will support with recruiting, team development, and leadership topics
