Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer SWDA is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic leadership across our financial and corporate services functions. Responsibilities Financial Governance, Procurement & Stewardship: Oversee the organisation's financial health, including accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury management, tax compliance, and budget planning and control. Ensure integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial statements, deliver financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making, and provide guidance on financial matters to senior leadership. Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, executive team, and external partners. Provide expert advice and support to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Ensure the integrity and transparency of financial reporting, and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions. Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to inform business decisions. Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide recommendations for improvement. Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making, and ensure that financial reporting is transparent, consistent, and compliant with relevant standards. Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors, executive team, and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including financial reporting requirements. Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, and ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported. Treasury Management: Oversee cash management, investments, and funding strategies to ensure the organisation's financial stability and liquidity. Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other stakeholders to secure financing and manage risk. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including anti-money laundering and know-your-customer requirements. Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, and maintain accurate records of all tax-related transactions. Provide guidance on tax planning and compliance to senior leadership, and ensure that the organisation's tax obligations are met in a timely and compliant manner. Budget Planning & Control: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to inform business decisions. Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide recommendations for improvement. Provide timely and accurate financial information to support decision-making, and ensure that budgeting processes are transparent, consistent, and compliant with relevant standards. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field; 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations; Experience with financial planning and analysis software and systems.
