Chief Financial Officer

Our client, a leading property management company specialising in student accommodation, is seeking a commercially astute and operationally strong Chief Financial Officer (CA(SA)) to join its Executive Leadership Team in Johannesburg North. This executive opportunity is ideal for a seasoned Real Estate CFO, Property Management CFO, or Financial Director with deep experience in operational, asset-heavy, multi-site environments. The CFO will drive financial strategy, operational finance performance, and provide strategic guidance to the business, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision and goals. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's growth objectives; • Providing financial leadership and support to the Executive Leadership Team; • Overseeing the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly management reports; • Managing and controlling costs across multiple sites and departments; • Leading and managing a high-performing finance team; • Collaborating with other business units to drive revenue growth and profitability; • Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess: • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; • At least 8 years of experience as a CFO, Financial Director, or equivalent role; • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting; • Proven track record of driving financial performance and achieving business objectives; • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
