N Position Type Management Job Summary: Join our prestigious team at The Rome EDITION as the Chief Engineer . You will oversee all engineering operations and maintenance activities, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the hotel's facilities. Responsibilities: * Oversee and manage all engineering and maintenance operations, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance. * Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance. * Manage and control departmental budgets, including forecasting, expense management, and cost control. * Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and hotel standards. * Recruit, train, and supervise the engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent performance. * Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance requests, resolve issues, and ensure guest satisfaction. * Manage and maintain inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effectiveness. * Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs. * Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel equipment and systems. * Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate support to resolve issues. Requirements: * Proven experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel environment. * Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance systems. * Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. * Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and cost control. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities. * Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and building codes. * Fluency in English and Italian (preferred).
