Chief Engineer & Hotel Facilities Leader

A global hospitality leader in Randburg, South Africa is seeking a Building & Engineering Head of Department, also known as Chief Engineer. This role involves ensuring the smooth running of property maintenance while leading a team dedicated to enhancing guest satisfaction. The successful candidate must possess a trade certificate and demonstrate strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach, alongside a commitment to exceptional service. Key responsibilities include: • Overseeing the maintenance of hotel facilities, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems. • Leading a team of engineers and technicians to ensure efficient and effective property maintenance. • Developing and implementing strategies for improving guest satisfaction through enhanced facilities and services. • Collaborating with other departments to identify and prioritize capital projects and budgeting. • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. • Providing technical guidance and support to hotel staff on maintenance-related issues.
