Chief Accountant

For one of our international clients, we are building an entirely new accounting services team in Kraków. We are looking for an experienced professional for the position of Chief Accountant (Główny Księgowy), who will help build and lead a small team from the ground up to serve a new, major client. This is a role with real prospects for rapid development – as the team grows, the natural next step will be to take on the function of General Ledger Manager . Project Information: Project type: accounting services; Team size: 3-5 people; Location: Kraków, Poland; Duration: 12 months; Start date: ASAP. The Chief Accountant (Główny Księgowy) will be responsible for: - Leading a small team of accountants and bookkeepers; - Managing the accounting process from start to finish; - Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards; - Developing and implementing new processes and procedures; - Collaborating with other departments, such as finance, tax, and audit. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; - At least 5 years of experience in a similar role; - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices; - Excellent communication and leadership skills; - Ability to work independently and as part of a team; - Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
