Chief Accountant at Liki24

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to support our Romanian operations. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Romanian accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements. Experience in e-commerce, retail, or marketplace environments is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full management of the accounting function in Romania
• Maintaining accurate books and records in accordance with Romanian accounting standards
• Preparation and submission of all statutory reports: VAT, CIT, payroll taxes, and other mandatory filings
• Interaction with tax authorities, auditors, and banks
• Implementing and monitoring internal accounting controls
• Ensuring compliance with local accounting and tax legislation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–7 years of professional accounting experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics and experience with other accounting systems (SAP, etc.)
• Understanding of IFRS standards will be an advantage
• Strong understanding of Romanian accounting and tax regulations
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills in Romanian and English; knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian will be a plus
