Chemical Technician Trainee (Career Conversion Program)

As a member of the production shift team, the job holder will operate and monitor the chemical production activities in the plant, ensuring that the product is manufactured within set production schedule and to the required standards of quality in a safe, efficient, responsible and cost-effective manner. Reporting Relationship The job holder will report to the Shift Supervisor and his deputy working alongside with other chemical technicians. Main Accountabilities Operate the different streams in the plant to produce the specified products according to the production schedule. Carry out routine tests and analysis to ensure that the process parameters meet the required product specification. Identify and rectify process deviation and plant abnormalities and report to shift supervisor. Carry out the cleaning of plant equipment and maintain good housekeeping. Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and maintain a safe working environment. Any other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor. Job Requirements Minimum Nitec in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent. Candidates without relevant working experience are welcome to apply as training will be provided.
