DONTNOD Studios is looking for a Head of Level Scripter Team to work on their next project developed 100% in Montreal.

What will be your job ?
As a liaison with the Project Producer, you will manage the Level Scripter Team (Level Scripters) and ensure that game levels are scripted and built according to creative briefs, technical constraints, and game pillars.
Your mission will be :
- Manage a team of level scripters (up to 5 people), with different seniority levels;
- Set up content creation workflows, tools, and pipelines in collaboration with other departments;
- Define best practices for content creation, provide guidance, give creative feedback and scripting, and coordinate with other departments when necessary;
- Ensure the follow-up of director's returns, narrative concept designer's returns, playability tests, and analyses with level scripters: implementation, discussions, compromises, etc.;
- Supervise prototype creation in collaboration with programmers to test and refine gameplay mechanics;
- Collaborate with programmers to build the technical roadmap: help bridge the gap between technical and creative, and support defining priorities necessary for design objectives;
- Ensure that levels seem alive, natural, exciting, and immersive: focus on orchestration, animation scripting, character/IA routines, event scripting, etc.;
- Create and maintain documentation throughout the development process describing scripting tools, best practices for implementation, and technical specifications;
- Support level scripters in translating design intention into gameplay logic;
- Regularly play through content to ensure it meets quality standards, design standards, and stability requirements;
- Coordinate with other disciplines, including artistic departments, programming, and narrative, to integrate different elements into a unified gaming experience;
- Collaborate with the production team to manage scripting level resources, sprint planning, high-level roadmaps, and deadlines.
