Shahi Dawat is an authentic Indian restaurant located in Biggera Waters, QLD. We serve a rich variety of traditional Indian curries, tandoori delights, and flavorful vegetarian dishes. Our focus is on using fresh ingredients and aromatic spices to deliver a true taste of India. Perfect for dine-in, takeaway, or catering special occasions. We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Chef to join our team at our Biggera Waters, offering a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Plan and organize the preparation and cooking of authentic Indian dishes and menus.

● Develop and design menus considering seasonal availability, customer preferences, and cost factors.

● Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.

● Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation of all food prepared and served.

● Monitor food preparation and cooking methods to maintain authenticity and hygiene standards.

● Estimate food requirements and manage inventory, ordering, and storage of ingredients.

● Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards.

● Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering skill development and teamwork.

● Control costs by managing portion sizes, minimizing waste, and optimizing resources.

● Innovate and create new dishes to enhance the restaurant’s menu and customer experience.

ATTRIBUTES:

● Minimum of 1 year trade qualification is required as a Chef,

● Minimum 1 year experience in a relevant discipline is required,

● Committed to adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries at the workplace.

Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: 8 hours shift

Ability to commute/relocate: SHOP 44/33, HOLLYWELL ROAD, BIGGERA WATERS, 4216, QUEENSLAND. Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience: At least 1 year (Preferred)

Salary: $77,000-80,000 annually excluding superannuation
