The Foreshore Hangout Lounge based in Geraldton, WA. The Foreshore is more than just a casual eatery – we’re a full-service dining destination offering modern Australian cuisine with generous portions, quality produce, and attention to detail. Guests come to us for everything from long lunches to family dinners, evening cocktails, and late-night live music. With ocean views and a lively atmosphere, we’re proud to deliver a complete dining and hospitality experience.

The restaurant is looking for a qualified and experienced full-time chef to join their team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -

• Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
• Prepare and plate a wide variety of modern Australian dishes – from premium steaks and fresh seafood to house-made pizzas, burgers, and seasonal specials.
• Planning menus as per restaurant`s requirements including dishes like Pulled pork sliders, tender calamari, various parmis, different styles of craft burgers as listed in menu etc.
• Ensure every dish leaves the pass looking and tasting exceptional, in line with full-service dining standards.
• Estimating food and labour costs and ordering food supplies accordingly
• Discussing food preparation issues with managers and all other relevant staff
• Preparing and cooking food according to hygiene regulations
• Responsible for freezing and preserving foods
• Train the cooks and/or new staff as required.
• Any other relevant duty as directed by management.

What Skills and Knowledge do I need?

• Relevant trade qualifications
• Relevant experience of 3 years or more may replace formal qualification requirements
• Proactive attitude with good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
