Position Summary:

PROVENCE KITCHEN PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic team. The Chef will be responsible for the overall operation of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen staff management. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background and proven experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and develop menus in line with the restaurant's concept, customer preferences, and budget.

Oversee daily food preparation and ensure all dishes meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.

Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff, including rostering and performance evaluation.

Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate supply orders.

Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification in cookery or culinary arts.

At least 2 years of relevant experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen.

Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.

Strong leadership and time management skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality.
